These are pictures of shrines I took in Sicily. The use of flowers is incredible - I definitely want to use flowers in my shrines. I also like the personal nature of them and the use of photographs.
They are graves but the shape of them and the inclusion of the photograph, flowers and candles give them a shrine like quality. Graves themselves can even be viewed as shrines as their purpose is less a body-storage device and more a place of tribute
