Inspired by Garrido-Lecca I combined religious imagery and coulour to create the saints of escapism. I used poses typically seen in the crucifixion and in other images of saints such as the Virgin Mary and the Martyrdom of Saint Sebastian. I then projected images of my forms of escapism over the model to create a clash between the religous imagery and the coulourful and (in the case of the pornography) vulgar imagery of the escapism.
I really like these images as I feel that they are more detailed and visually interesting that the muses. I also like the clash between the religious and the self indulgent escapism.
